Cusco

I finally got to the capital of the Inca's Empire: Cusco. This city, a mix of ancient ruins and colonial buildings has a large number of attractions that well deserve a visit.

 Also colonial but in a completely different style, the streets of Cusco have a special charm. Not easy to compare them with Arequipa or other cities in Perú.

 Although we are in high season, there is always a few places a bit far from the touristic areas where you can enjoy nice views of the city.

Most of the present main buildings were built on top of ancient inca's ruins. The rest are placed outside of the city. In that sense, I will show you more about ruins in my next post.
