Tucumán

Already on my way to Northen Argentina (and further North, Paraguay and Bolivia), Tucumán is a must seen.

This city played an important role in the Independence Wars. The first National Congress was held here, for instead. Besides, the influence of Spanish arquitecture is quite clear in many of the buildings downtown.

Colonial buildings and sugar mills also add a picturesque mixture to the city. Outside big cities, people in the North is already much nicer than in Buenos Aires or Santiago. It seems like they have the same problem that we do back in Europe.
