To finish my stay inVenezuela and La Gran Sabana I decided to climb one of the already mentioned Tepuyes. Roraima, or the mother of rivers, was the chosen one. It is situated at the triple border between Venezuela, Brazil and Guayana.
It was not easy. There is a 3 days walk to reach the top. But the way, across the Gran Sabana is special. .
What we found when we got up there is a completely different landscape. It was like landing in a lost world with animals and plants than only can be seen at the top.
And of course, the views from the top (2800 meters) are amazing. These two pictures don't make justice to what I have felt at Roraima.
Forgot to mention that the rain season just started so we had plenty of water up there. Besides, after the 6 days of walking up and down I cannot move anymore. Again, it was worth it.
